Stop Snoring Tonight, Guaranteed

There is nothing more frustrating then having a snoring problem. A little snoring here and there normally is not a problem. Everyone snores a bit if they get stuffed up or had a bit too much to drink that evening.

It is the log sawing, chain saw buzzing snoring that becomes a huge problem. It will keep your spouse awake. It can even awaken the kids or overpower the sound coming from the television.

It is simply a major pain in the butt. There are a ton of devices, aids and assorted “wonder” products that claim to silent your snoring as easy as a,b,c. The problem is that most of them don’t work. To find your individual solution you need to first understand the cause behind your snoring.

Here is the top #1 cause:

1. Being overweight

To stop your snoring it is as easy as losing some weight. Get rid of that excess fat in your throat area. It is well documented that the more you are over weight the more and louder you will snore.

So, stopping snoring is as easy as losing weight. Wasn’t that encouraging?

Okay, now there are other reasons people snore and they involve more serious medical problems. Snoring and snoring very loudly can be an indication of sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is where you stop breathing and then gasp for air. Gasping awakens you from your sleep and in particular prevents you from getting ample REM sleep.

Many horrible illnesses can result from untreated sleep apnea. The top two are stroke and death. It also contributes to high blood pressure, diabetes and other cardio-vascular diseases. Pretty nasty stuff just from snoring.

See your doctor if you snore regularly and/or loudly. It is easy to get a sleep study done or have the doctor look at simple solutions. It may be as easy as getting a snoring chin strap to keep your mouth close thus alleviating the snoring sound. Or, perhaps an anti snoring pillow which positions your head and shoulders in the proper alignment to keep your throat airway open and unobstructed.

Aggressive stop snoring products include the CPAP’s which stands for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure machines. These machines deliver a steady stream of air that keeps your airway open thus preventing sleep apnea conditions and snoring.

Some people may need to combine a snoring chin strap in conjunction with the CPAP to make sure the mouth doesn’t fall open and allow the pressure to fall and the snoring to begin again.
